I will be listing several items from my personal collection , representing some of the highest quality, hard to find phonograph items that have become available in quite a while. EDISON Branded Case Gem Phonograph with original horn The nicest you will find! I present to you a beautiful Branded Case Gem Edison phonograph. T were just over 2000 of this type of GEM ever made, making it one of the smallest production run variations of the GEM. This is probably the nicest and most complete 100% ORIGINAL Branded Gem I have ever seen. I have included a couple of pictures, and can send more on request. Let me try to describe this machine. First, the paint is beautiful and very bright. The Pen striping is beautiful and as near 100% complete as you'll ever get. Together, they shine! It has the very early and correct automatic style reproducer that is unique to this machine. This reproducer has been rebuilt with new gaskets, but retaining the original French Glass diaphragm. This is held into the carriage with knurled screws that are reminiscent of the ones seen on North American machines. Overall the nickel plating on the machine is stunning. The only part that seems to have suffered much from age is the original winding key. I guess that must have set outside of the case a while, exposed to the attic air or something. Not only does this phonograph look good, it plays great! The case is wonderful, with original finish and branded decal. It is really cool. T were two variations of this case. One with the later screw in type knobs that held the lid to the machine, and an early, much rarer version that had knobs to hold the lid to the machine that were actually spring pins. This on is the earlier version. As well as wonderful original finish, this one has an original dealer tag on the top. It is really cool! Finally, we have the horn. Included with this machine is an awesome original 10 inch Gem cone horn. The paint and pen stripping on this horn are as stunning as the machine. You will look far and wide to find an Edison Branded case Gem that is a match to this absolutely wonderful example of a hard to find machine.
