Now is something of a project, but one that would be worth it. The Model E Triumph is pretty much about as good as it gets for a cylinder machine, except if you want to spend the money and go for an Opera. This one is in less then wonderful condition so someone who would like a nice Edison to play or restore or both will have a potentially very nice machine. This one runs and plays well. It has the 4 weight governor on it and runs practically silently. It's a combination machine. The bedplate is ok, but is worn some. Someone did try to do a little cosmetic work on the one corner by the shut-off lever. The nickeling is a little worn on the mandrel, but really in pretty nice shape on everything else. The back bracket is nice, but it is missing one screw. The oak case is nice, and the front has some very nice quarter sawn oak on it. The case has been refinished, but the lid has just been stripped. The lid needs a little bit of repair work on it. It has a couple of pieces of veneer that have been chipped off it. I've pictured that. And, the diamond B reproducer needs a screw and a stylus. The diaphragm is in nice shape. It's already had the ivory cone re-shellaced to a nice flat diaphragm. Wyatt's will have that screw that holds the weight on and it is often times a good idea to replace the stylus on the reproducers anyway, at least if you have records you think a lot of. It has what's left of the original owners manual with it in the compartment under the bedplate. It also has the reducing ring so you can get a C reproducer to play two-minute records. Or, I guess you could buy an "O" reproducer and sell this other stuff off as parts. These late Triumphs are really nice machines. If you want a nice work-horse outside horn machine to listen to, this one would be hard to beat. It's not all beat up badly, but it does have some issues and I've pointed everything out that I can see. I did replace the mandrel bearing and the mandrel shaft is not bent as so many of them are. I'll have to ship it in two boxes as the motors on these are so heavy. I'll just set the shipping at $45 to the lower 48 states so you will know how to bid. I will box it up very well, so you won't have to worry about that. I'm a UPS driver and know first hand what the stuff has to go through. So, if you have any questions do feel free to ask. I can help out with more pictures as well. Thanks now.
