EDISON MODEL "S" REPRODUCER RARE TWO & FOUR MINUTE This auction is for an Edison "S" reproducer - introduced in 1911 for playing the new four minute records. Unlike the popular O's it is configured for the smaller carriage. The swivel plate on teh floating weight to bring the 2 or 4-minute stylus into use mimicks the earlier model "K". The larger diaphram give better volume however. The pot metal body is slightly swollen but I was able to get it into the original carriage as shown. Auction is for reproducer and carriage for display or use on a Standard Phonograph. Serial number is 28,553. The ruby styli are intended for use on wax cylinders. Use on later Blue Amberols will quickly wear the stylus. These were sold for use in Edison's Standards but can only be used if they have the necessary two and four minute gearing. While stylii appear to be intact I have no way to test it. I can highly recommend a man to completely service it if necessary. Due to the uncertain nature of the phonograph market I have set a modest reserve to protect my investment. TERMS: All items sold GUARANTEED to be as represented and to the buyer's satisfaction.
