EDISON TRIUMPH CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH 1904 MODEL A BANNER Excellent Original Condition Very desirable Edison 2 minute Triumph Banner Model "A" Phonograph ca. 1904, with fantastic green oak case. This one of the nicest phonographs you will ever see. The Triumph was the top of the line Edison machine in 1904, playing several 2 minute records with one winding. All original, includes an early model C Reproducer and Edison Recorder, and original crank with almost all its black paint. No horn is included.
This model is fitted with the record shaver found on early Edison phonographs. Bedplate is in excellent original condition and is smooth and glossy, the striping is original and excellent, better than 95%. Case is very clean, some minor scratches, etc., but no cracks, chips, splits or missing veneer. The case hardware is all original and in excellent condition. The nickeling on all the metal parts is in excellent condition. The decal is original, but has been "touched up" in spots (see photo). The 3 spring spring motor is very clean (well greased) and runs strong, quiet and smooth, no spring "jump". It starts immediately and plays several 2 minute records on one winding. The reproducer sound is excellent and loud. I have owned this phonograph for over 20 years, but have run out of room. The shipping weight with careful packing will be about 55 lbs. Shipping to Continental US (lower 48 states) only will be by insured UPS or FEDEX ground. Bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks should contact me before bidding.
