This week I'll be auctioning off several Edison phonograph parts, including the upper and lower works to an Edison Triumph, and an Ediphone reproducer, so be sure to check my other auctions! This auction is for an original oak case to an Edison Triumph cylinder player. It had a Model B in it originally but I believe other models may be able to use this case also. It is holding together well. T is also a couple pieces of the original square ring that once held the upper works, but it looks like it broke many years ago. One thing is perplexing about this case. The only side of this case that has the paneled front portion is also the panel w the hinges are mounted. Tfore, the paneled end was actually on the BACK of the case. It is strange, and it looks to be something done at the factory as far as I can tell. It looks like somebody attempted to turn things around the right way at some point, by plugging the original crank hole, and drilling a new hole on the opposite side. It looks like they began to drill one hole, got about a quarter of the way through, stopped, re-positioned the drill, and then drilled a hole in the right place. The case also has a (homemade?) foot for the crane assembly. T is no Edison decal anyw on the case... maybe it got worn off years ago, or never had one, I'm not sure. Buyer pays shipping and handling. INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME. I accept money orders, Paypal, and personal checks, but with a hold for clearance. California residents add 8.275% tax. Happy bidding!!
