EDMUND DULAC: A FAIRY GARLAND, FAIRY TALES from OLD FRENCH/12 PLATES/ RARE 1929A FAIRY GARLAND: BEING FAIRY TALES FROM THE OLD FRENCH. ILLUSTRATED BY EDMUND DULAC. He simplified his modelling and restricted his shading, thereby retaining a lightness and sense of space that was helped by the egg-shell appearance of the colours, controlled tonally by the lavish addition of Chinese white."
