This is the first Royal Class produced by Eduard Models (2005) and along with the other Royal Class kits it can only be described as an absolutely excellent product. I have classed it as 'New' because all the separate envelopes etc in the box are unopened although it was acquired in 2005/2006. Only 1000 of this first Royal product were available (this is number 165) and it is therefore a rather rare article . Eduard is renowned for the quality and accuracy of their model components and, of course, the research which goes into the historical accuracy of their products. This large box contains three separate opprtunities to create Fokker DVIIs produced by Fokker, OAW, and Albatros and there are twelve different colour schemes available covering Jastas 6, 10, 13, 15, 19, 34b, and 46, and Jasta Boelcke. There are full sets of decals (including 4 and 5-colour lozenge) for all the aircraft colour schemes and comprehensive PE parts. The options include early and late fuselage parts for three aircraft - so 6 fuselages! - so even after you have built three you'll have spare parts for other projects plus surplus useful decals. There are also two Eduard resin mobile petrol cart kits to add detail to any model scene you might want to create. In addition to all this you also get a replica Pour le Merite ("Blue Max") medal.
