This is a rare October 13th, 1962 PREMIERE PERFORMANCE playbill from the Original Broadway production of the EDWARD ALBEE classic "WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?" which played the Billy Rose Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 13th, 1962 and closed May 16th, 1964 after 664 performances.) ..... Winner of five Tony Awards including "Best Play", the production starred UTA HAGEN (Tony Award), ARTHUR HILL (Tony Award) and GEORGE GRIZZARD and featured MELINDA DILLON ..... CREDITS: Book by EDWARD ALBEE; Sets designed by WILLIAM RITMAN; Costumes designed by THEONI V. ALDREDGE; Directed by ALAN SCHNEIDER; Produced by THEATRE 1963 (Richard Barr and Clinton Wilder) ..... DETAILS: The 46 page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and individual photos and bios of each of the actors and the playwright ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a corner crease to the bottom right corner of the cover, moderate creasing and minor edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
