A nice First Edition of this large and beautifully illustrated book showcasing the great etchings of Edward Borein, most of them depicting, cowboys, stagecoaches, frontier towns, Indians, etc of the Wild West. A handsome, very big book offering 318 illustrations, most of them full-page plates. This book is solid and complete and in excellent condition, and it has been inscribed by the publisher. Published nearly 40 years ago, this book is now long out-of-print and quite scarce, usually selling for between $150 and $300. Such a nice copy is not likely to come up for sale again soon on ebay. From the Introduction: "It has been many years since I first encountered both Ed Borein and Warren Howell; in fact, it was Warren Howell who introduced me to the work of Borein when he told me of this artist, who had specialized in drawing the Old West. Later, I was to learn that Ed Borein did much more than "draw the American West." I was to come to know that he was both a read more
