Edward Miller ANTIQUE CARAMEL SLAG PANEL GLASS Lamp Shade A rare find in an antique Edward Miller art nouveau shade. Eight gracefully curved, well carmelized slag glass panels give this shade a stunning silhouette. The Nouveau/Deco (1890–1905) design boasts intricately embossed and pierced details in the graceful "Lotus" pattern typical of this period which emphasized organic plant forms with flowing forms. This shade is well constructed with the heavy metal structure which protects the fragile glass. An unusual and striking piece in very good condition. Shade base diameter is 20" and top area is 4" diameter. I would suggest including a reference to the adaptation from gas to electric. Also I would possibly remove the reference to the 1920s and simply indicate the dates defining the Art Nouveau period. That way you are not attributing a date to the lamp but allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions. (kindofa cover your ass type of thing)I'd also add reassurances about the quality of packing and you might want to think about requiring insurance.
