Beautiful repoussé sterling silver vanity set with 2 brushes, 2 clothing brushes and one hand mirror. No monogram (quite hard to find!) so you can easily take it to an engraver to add your own. Gently used but overall wonderful condition! The natural bristles are very secure in the brushes and extremely tight and clean. Slight spotting around the edges of the mirror from age, but it does not detract from the overall beauty and elegance of these pieces. You can see the detailed and swirling designs typical of this period w patterns and motifs were taken primarily from nature. Birds, flowers, peacocks and the âeoeGreen Manâe decorate each item. A truly lovely set to give as a gift (or keep for yourself!) for any collector of Edwardian or Art Nouveau items. The makerâe(tm)s mark is very clear on each item âe" HM âe" which stands for H. (Henry) Matthews, a notable English silversmith. The town mark is an anchor indicating the location of Birmingham , next is the silver standard mark of the lion passant (walking lion) indicating it is sterling silver (925). Last is the date mark of the letter âeoeCâe âe" appears to be circa 1902. I will pack this extremely well in bubble wrap and packing peanuts to assure it arrives safely. Shipping insurance is required on this piece due to the nature of it. Shipping insurance is based on the price the item sells for at auction's close. Please donâe(tm)t hesitate to email me if you have any questions about the item, shipping, etc. Because I want to pack this as carefully as possible I will not offer combined shipping with my other auctions as I normally do.
