GOLD & SILVER NECKLACE with ROSE-CUT DIAMONDS extraordinarily beautiful and evocative c. 1900 Edwardian bib necklace, that can without hesitation be described as 'precious', needing not the syrupy airs and sugar plum words that quasi- precious items tend to require, which rather than entice, only serve to compel one to head straight to the nearest sports bar for a reality check steak tartare and double Bloody Mary chaser ~ 15.5" long platinum (tested) micro link chain is centered by a 1.25" wide free-form ribbon bow that was first cast in pink gold, (tested) then silver (tested), to provide a colorless background which best show-offs the approximate 31 rose-cut diamonds studding the ribbon 0.25" x 0.50" high fleur-de-lis of the same two-tone ribbon modestly drapes from the center bow with 9 mine-cut diamonds two smaller 0.5" wide bows mirror in style and substance the larger center bow, each with approximately 21 rose-cut diamonds, and stationed approximately 1" to either side (center to center) of the main bow; subordinate bows also connect themselves to center stage by way of an additional and draped platinum link chain necklace's delicate, lace-like appearance is enhanced by the introduction of symmetrically placed pattern of 1.60mm white cultured pearls, beginning with 3 pearls on each side of bib, adding one pearl between each pair of bows snug and reliabe closer/clasp is effected by a femaie gold rectangular box that is detailed like the gold/silver ribbon and is open on one end, ready to receive the male spring closer ~ formerly owned by the uber wonderful and talented Melissa Gilbert, star on Little House on the Prairie, bib necklace is in very good condition with all diamond apparently present and accounted for winner pays priority shipping and required insurance sold as is - sales are final (also shown is another jewelry item that we are currently listing) thanks for looking please check our other auctions by gm -
