An Edwardian ( early 20th century ) lady's leather concertina glove box with brass catch and brass mounted leather knotted handle containing two pairs of white leather gloves and an ebony glove stretcher. The dimensions of the box are 27cm long x 9cm wide x 4cm high when closed normally although the concertina effect does allow for flexibility. The box is in excellent original condition just with some minor scuffs commensurate with age and use. The brass catch works perfectly to open and close the box. The glove stretcher is also in excellent condition. There are two pairs of white leather gloves in the box. One pair are long "Opera" gloves - very elegant and sophisticated. There is a button missing from one of the gloves. Otherwise both pairs are in excellent original condition. Rare and highly collectable vintage/antique clothing with the beautiful original box.
