EXQUISITE STERLING CRYSTAL VANITY DRESSER JAR NO MONO 1905 HALLMARKED SHEFFIELD ENGLAND WALKER/HALL "REYNOLDS ANGELS" APPROX. MEAS. 3 1/8H by 3 5/8"D weight of lid 1.0oz reg scale TOTAL weight 10.4oz reg scale I adore this dresser jar. Love the stunning silver repousse pattern know as Reynold's Angels. Truly a beautifully crafted piece. Classic. Hauntingly beautiful. Came from a nice family estate auction held in the Midwest and is one of two dresser jars I have listed. They are part of a much larger collection of silver purchased.Despite needing a soft polish, the condition is outstanding . T is one very very tiny dent to the side of the lid which I did my best to photograph. Quality of the silver and the crafting is quite fine. Highly decorative. T are no apologies to the crystal base that I can detect. Glass is clear and not cloudy. Beautifully beveled and polished rim. Glass is cut in a simple diamond pattern. Crystal is rather weighty and substantial. Cut and beveled star pattern on the bottom. I am certain the base is not original to the lid. The fit is not exact and I am most certain this is a marriage of two quality and old pieces. I just love this jar. Would make a fabulous gift or striking piece to add to any collection of vanity/dresser items or finer silver from the Art Nouveau era. Exceptionally nice piece of silver.
