This auction does not have a reserve and consists of cloth boudoir lamp shade, possibly Edwardian, we believe slightly later than Victorian, Uno style. It has an applied cloth flower on the front of the shade, which appears to be toile over satin. I believe the toile is dark brown and the interior satin is a light rusty, melon color--see photo. It has a fabulous beaded fringe, two lines of fringe are missing, the remainder appears intact. The beads are various colors with a striking red colored long bead as the center of the line, please see photo closeup. Neither exterior, nor interior have any tears, rips, or holes. T is no soiling or burns. The gold-threaded finishing ribbon securing the toile to the satin is intact at both the top and the bottom. The applied flower is firmly stitched in place. You can see the shape of the lamp shade the best in the last photo showing the inside of the shade. The shade has an 8" width and an 8 1/4" length at the top and a 10 1/4" width and 10 1/2" at the bottom. T is a 1 1/4" screw diameter (attachment mechanism to lamp). This was quite a time-consuming piece of artwork. Buyer to pay all shipping costs. Since we ship all packages via the U. S. Postal Service, quoted shipping costs will include the cost of delivery confirmation; and in the case of fragile items or packages valued at over $50.00 read more
