Edwina Dumm CAP STUBBS AND TIPPIE Original Daily Comic Strip ART, 1930s(?) EDWINA DUMM Cap Stubbs and Tippie (1930s?) original daily comic strip art india ink on heavyweight paper, art image size 4.5" x 21" on 5" x 23" sheet This is the original final drawing by Francis Edwina Dumm for the daily comic strip episode of Cap Stubbs and Tippie that was published in newspapers on August 17, likely in the 1930s. It features the three lead characters: Cap Stubbs, his dog Tippie, and the boy's loving "Gran'ma," Sara Bailey. Edwina Dumm created Cap Stubbs and Tippie in 1918 and and continued the feature to 1966. This original is signed "Edwina" by the artist in the fourth panel . The George Matthew Adams Serivice, Inc. label appears in the last panel panel. The paper shows slight darkening with age: VERY FINE condition.
