the Selected Classic to Modern Mexican Postal History ef01 Mexico Veracruz to France 1856 rare Colonies Art18, Article 18 was only used for a ver short time as the trade agreement between the foreign countries involved. This cover has Mexican, British and French cancellations. It is very scarce to rare and the estimate of such a cover is around $250. I will start it out at a bargain. Believe me! The cover has full correspondence and docketing. Nice in any collection, this will be great in yours. . Today, I am listing covers that will be from the pre-stamp period to early modern. You should be able to find both interesting and difficult to find items. I have some of the out of district material in these early covers. In the early modern covers you will find certified and register mail. Some of the dead letter mail that was opened and returned to the sender are in these early 20th Century mail. There are some good Revolutionary material in these also. Later censor covers are always popular. So, Please check out all my listings for some great buys. To avoid more bytes per scan I have scanned all covers at 150dpi and where possible I have cropped the reverse sides of these covers to show important postal markings. Only on cover is there positive proof of use.) t-(numbers 1-10) = one of the ten relief types found on 1868 issues. t-with number = type - number on any items that needs separation of types. Tipo = Types of Mexico, the 1868 issues that were printed from the original stones, used in a contemporary postal fraud during 1870-71.Sz = Schatzkes catalogue number for cancels used from 1856 to 1872 issues.Sch = Schimmer Catalogue number (state, office#/cancel #) 1874 -1900 issues.District may be abbreviated, such as DGO = Durango, GDA = Guadalajara, GTO = Guanajuato, MAZ = Mazatlan, MEX DF = Mexico, QRO = Queretaro, SLP = San Louis Potosi, VCZ = Veracruz and ZAC = Zacatecas This is one of a number of Early Mexican classics to modern stamps and covers that I am running this week in my auction and store front lots. All should be interesting and a great examples for the issue, district and cancels. and interesting usage. All of this material will have starting prices that represent very low retail for the lot. Condition varies, so some will be much better bargains than others, but most are far better than the average. Remember that if the stamp has full margins, these carry a 30% premium in NF catalogue values because catalogue prices in NF are for F-VF . So, don't pass up this opportunity to add excellent material to your collection. I have selected many of these examples for their outward appearance, and most in this selection you are viewing would be excellent examples to display in the best of collections.
