20" VINTAGE "ANNE SHIRLEY" DOLL ~ EFFANBEEComposition Body ~ Cute Vintage Clothing! We have listings for a number of collectible dolls this week. We have a 100% positive feedback rating and a good return policy, also described below. Please . This is Anne Shirley, a classic composition Effanbee doll. She is marked "Effanbee American Children" on her neck and "Effanbee Anne_Shirley" on her back. Effanbee made Anne Shirley into the 1950's, but these markings indicate that this doll is one of the early ones, dating from 1936-39.Our pretty girl has a composition socket head and jointed composition body. She has a closed mouth, sleep eyes (which are somewhat crackled), "real" lashes and a beautiful human hair wig. We found these clothes for Anne Shirley in our doll closet, and we think they fit her nicely.Under her white cotton skirt, Anne wears a red checked onsie. T is a small tag, which says "Effanbee Durable Dolls Made in USA" on this piece. is a look from the back showing Anne's beautiful wig.Her sleep eyes work properly. Her body has some wear. Her toes are partially chipped away. The tips of three fingers are chipped, as well. T is a crack on her side and some surface cracks on the back of one elbow. Much of the surface of her body, however, is smooth and without damage. Her back reads, "Effanbee Anne_Shirley", and " Effanbee American Children" is on the back of her neck. SIZE She measures 20 inches tall. CONDITION This charming doll has some imperfections but is quite a beautiful young lady! Her eyes are crackled, and her toes are chipped, as noted above. T are some other more minor flaws on her body, also noted. Her clothes are pinned in the back. You can sew in snaps if you wish.
