A full size Egypt 1882 medal no clasps, to F.COWLEY BOY 1st CL : H.M.S SUPERB. Frederick Cowley was born in Streatham,December 1864 and joined the Royal Navy in 1880 as a boy 2nd class. He transfered to the Superb on the 19th August 1882 and qualified for the 1882 Egypt medal with no clasps. He remained in the Navy until 1920,further entitled to a Great War pair and a L.S.G.C medal. The medal is in fair condition with some edge knocks and the naming is very feint in places, the B in boy is just visible and SUPERB is very feint but there. I have had the medal checked and it is 100% correct just showing its age. Comes with medal roll for the Egypt medal,Great War roll showing entitlement to a pair, service papers and L.S.G.C roll for 1921. The claw is nice and tight the suspender a little loose. Hopefully the other medals are out there. The medal is dated 1882 to the rear. Comes with a 1919 Peace celebration medal for Streatham a lovely little medal in itself with "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919 PEACE CELEBRATIONS STREATHAM JULY 1919 " on the rear.
