On offer is the original, full-size

Egypt Medal 1882-89 with the clasp “Suakin1885”

of

Lieutenant William Mills

who served with

The 3 rd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards

It’s correctly named

LIEUT. W. MILLS. 3/GREN. GDS.

The undated reverse medal is in reasonable (GVF) condition.

There’s an edge ‘bruise’ - and there are the usual contact marks from a Khedive’s Star – these are mostly to the obverse.

Lieutenant Mills was ‘placed on temporary half-pay on account of ill-health’

with effect from the 23 rd March 1892 – “London Gazette” of the 22 nd March 1892 – copy of entry supplied.
