This beautiful Egyptian necklace was a gift to my Momfrom a woman friend from Cairoway back in the 1960s . She was a wonderful Egyptian woman who traveled regularly between the States and Egypt, w her parents lived. She was a close family friend and brought this necklace directly from Cairo one winter as a special present to my Mother. Mom never wore it and kept it carefully wrapped in tissue paper in her jewelry box. I have now inherited it and I just do not have use for it. I would like to get it to someone who would really appreciate it, enjoy it and wear it. I don't know the standard words for describing jewelry, but will do my best: The necklace measures just over 18 1/2 inches around the "inside circle" that is made when the necklace is clasped. It is quite heavy , and it looks like it is made from little round green stone "disks" and very bright, shiny metal ornaments that I was told is " gilted brass ," although I really don't know for sure what that is. Despite being over 40 years old, the necklace is unused and looks to be in mint condition . I photographed it with different-colored backgrounds to try to show best the actual shiny-gold and not-shiny lime-green color of the necklace. PLEASE NOTE: For some reason, the smaller beads look sort of reddish in some of the photos, like in the photo with the blue background
