NO BIDS OR OFFERS ACCEPTED FROM PEOPLE WITH 3 OR LESS FEEDBACK Egyptian Revival Goddess Isis Hathor Lapis Sterling Silver Brooch Pin Rare! 1920s This is a rare, OOAK handmade antique Egyptian Revival sterling silver brooch inlaid with natural, undyed Lapis lazuli and consisting of a figural image of the Egyptian goddess Isis wearing the crown of Hathor. The large, heavy brooch is hand made in unmarked sterling silver (acid tested for authenticity). Deep blue lapis, liberally speckled with pyrite, has been carefully inlaid to form her headress and neck piece. Oval shaped lapis stones are inlaid to form earrings and a round piece of lapis is set in her diadem. Isis wears the traditional diadem depicting the cow or mother goddess Hathor, consisting of the sun and the cobra. This is considered one of her aspects. She has lapis inlaid eyes. Her face is handcrafted and the entire piece is sculpted in 3D. This fascinating piece of jewelry, is unmarked; but, based on the style and handwork, we are confident it is from Egypt dating back to the 1920s after the discovery of King Tut's tomb. This was the height of the Art Deco Egyptian Revival era, where the styles in jewelry and fashion were heavily influenced by ancient Egyptian design.
