Description: On auction is a Third Intermediate Period faience Ushabti. The figure is seen wearing a well defined wig with a painted “seshed” headband, and holds a molded and painted hoe or flail in each hand. The front of the legs feature a single column of painted hieroglyphs, while on the back there is a representation of a large seed bag. In the traditional mummiform pose, the piece has a pale olive colour with the detailing underglazed in brown/black. Arms crossed carrying pick and hoe with seed basket over his left shoulder.
