"SLIMCUT" Navy Blue Kydex G-10 Handle Made in Solingen, Germany The iconic squirrel logo made its first appearance about 1607. Thedesign has changed over the years, but each incarnation has featurethis trademark animal. But the story of this trademark being acquired by the Eickhorn family is fairly complex. As with so many of the Solingen trademarks the squirrel was used by various companies and t were some disputes over ownership. In fact the single squirrel was not used by Eickhorn until after WWI. Previously it was owned by Aug. Meis & Co., Maschinenfabrik and was only free to be used by Eickhorn when they Meis went out of business about 1920. That is why Eickhorn used the double squirrel logo starting in 1906. The Eickhorn company was established in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn a grinder, merchant and manufacturer whose is descended from a family who has roots in the cutlery business going back 500 years. THIS KNIFE IS IN MINT CONDITION IN GIFT TIN . Model: CH-E4130. 4 3/8" Closed Linerlock 3 1/8" 440C Solingen Stainless Steel Razor Sharp Laser Cut Partially Serrated Blade. 7 1/2" Overall. Blue Kydex Handles. Lanyard Hole. Dual Thumb Hole Pull for opening. Stainless Steel Pocket Clip. This knife is super nice and very sharp and is made extremely well. We accept PayPal. A base $5.95 USA Mail, $2.00 additional item up to $13.50 max rate for combined items up to 5 days of bidding and then all must be paid for. All other international rates will be determined by the Shipping Wizard tool at the bottom of this auction page. Domestic and International Rates will be adjusted at the end of the auction to account for additional costs associated with weight changed when combining invoices. I use the USPS website to determine the actual cost based on weight when combining invoices. By using USPS First Class International Mail the buyer must remember that t is no tracking service offered by the USPS and t is no way to insure this mail. I can provide proof of mailing should a dispute arise with evidence of receipt from the USPS. Any international mail that is lost, routed to the wrong area, or stolen; mid shipment will not be the responsibility of Anythingyouwantdirect or its staff and we will not issue refunds. The risk is on the buyer. If this is not OK with you, purchase Priority Mail or do not bid or win this auction. Out of the thousands of international shipments only 3 have gone astray in 2 1/2 years time. We never drop ship or use a third party shipper unless otherwise noted in our auction. We use several reputable books and magazines to research our knives before listing them. Should you find a discrepancy in one of our listings, let us know and we will correct the listing with the truth.
