(EIT). It has been packaged in storage for 6 years and has been acquired through an estate sale. It is brand new, never used. This English ironstone is not to be confused with imitation machine-made earthenware.EIT was hand-made by English Artisans in a historic pottery district named Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire, England in the early 1900’s. Imitation companies have found more cost effective ways to machine print similar patterns on dinnerware. Therefore, EIT is no longer in production due to the high costs of producing hand-painted dinnerware. These items are now collectibles. Each dish is impressed with the original EIT logo on the bottom. Every item is dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe.
