Ejler Bille: The Graphic Works 1943-1990 DESCRIPTION:VERY SCARCE limited edition OEUVRE with 8 SIGNED and Numbered Lithographs . Prints are on vellum, with signatures and numbering in pencil. This is #146 of 1000, a rare part of the first 200 special editions that includes all 8 lithographs in a book-style portfolio. (The rest of the limited editions only had 1 signed lithograph included with each book.) Book is written in English and Danish Includes a 2-page essay by the artist, and a longer one by the gallery about the artist. Book is filled with many images of Bille's work, some in B&W and a generous portion in full color. Ejler Bille was a member of CoBrA, a European avant-garde movment that began in Denmark. This book traces his career and the full body of his work. Orange cloth covers the boards of each volume and slipcase, with an illustrated DJ on the book. Binding: Hardback 153 pages. Publishing Information: Forlaget Cordelia (Copenhagen, Denmark) 1990 Dimensions: 7.75 x 11 inches (approx). CONDITION: Book, portfolio and DJ are overall in Near Fine condition. Slipcase is in Very Good+. BOOK has some light spots on cover and darkening of spine; spine ends are firm and corners are sharp; binding is strong. A little foxing can be seen at the hinge of pastedowns; back fep has a sharp crease. Inside pages are clean and clear.
