ELABORATE 20TH CENTURY GILDED FRAME Description: I am pleased to offer this fine 20th Century gilded frame. The bolection profile rises in the center of the molding, and t is a running compo ornament around the sight edge. The principal hue is a warm gold, which contrasts with the highly burnished yellow-gold surfaces. The corners are mitered. The outside edges are painted in a warm ochre color. This frame was probably made for a painting, but, with its brilliant surface, it would also make a striking mirror frame. Overall dimensions: 19 by 23 inches. Rabbet/glass size (inside dimensions measured from the back of the frame): 13 by 17 inches Sight size (inside dimensions measured from the front of the frame): 12 by 16 inches Molding width: 3 1/2 inches Depth at outside edge: 1 1/4 inch Condition: Condition: very good with a little expected surface wear.
