Up for Auction Is A Elac Miracord 10H Turntable In Beautiful Condition, Fully Operational, and With Original Manual. (1) GENERAL: Some brief research on the Net revealed that Miracord sold high quality turntables made by Electroacustic GMBH (West Germany) from the late '40s thru the late '70s, and that this model (10H) was built from 1961 thru 1966. Now, there is a postal zone reference (Corona 68, NY) in the manual, and since postal zones were discontinued in 1963, it follows that this 'table was most likely built in '61 or '62. This is Serial #205144. (2) FEATURES/SPECS: Idler Drive (ie, an "idler wheel" spins the platter by friction, rather than a belt or direct/gear drive). Fully Automatic (starts with a push-button, stops by itself after play) Stereo 4 Speeds: 16-33-45-78rpm "STOP" Button For Premature Play Termination 3 Platter Sizes: 7"-10"-12" diameter Stanton 500 Cartridge with Good Stylus Original Manual Wood Base Single Play Spindle (Per the manual, this may be set up as a multi-record changer, but I do not have the special optional spindle for that function.) (3) COSMETICS: Turntable is in fantastic visual condition: The chrome is excellent, wood base is near-perfect. Rubber platter mat is still supple and shiny. Lock mechanism for the tonearm is intact and working. The springs in the 4 corners are all there. Everything
