This auction is for a vintage souvenir piece. It is a composition Elastolin Canadian Mountie attached to a wood base,with a camp fire. The mountie is in great shape, no cracks or damage. He can be pulled off of the base - he is attached with two long wires coming out of his feet -- they look like continuations of the armature used in making the mountie. The camp fire is loose - it comes right off the base (the three legged tripod and the compo bucket). The round piece of wood with the two logs and cotton "fire" is still affixed to the base. One of the logs is loose. The large log "tree" is solidly attached. There is no writing or marking on the piece other than "1.58" on the underside in pencil. The log base is a slice of pine, with barck still on. See my other auctions this week for some Chialu indians, and some Elastolin wood forts for cowboy setups. I combine shipping on multiple purchases. Payment : All buyers, per eBay policy I can only accept PayPal as a payment method for all auctions. Payment is due within seven days from the end of the auction. If your payment is not received within this time period your order will be canceled and the item relisted. Handling time : I do my best to mail packages out the day after I get payment. If I receive payment before 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) I will have it in the mail the next day, except for Sunday because U.S. Post Offices are not open on Sunday. U.S. Shipping : I use First Class (up to 13 oz) and Priority mail after that. Books ship media mail. I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I combine multiple items won by the same person the same week and charge actual postage. I use lots of bubble wrap and peanuts and good boxes. In a group of multiple pieces each item is wrapped individually. When there is an original box or other original paper item I put that into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day. International Shipping : I gladly ship international. I prefer to use Priority International mail because it is trackable. All Priority Packages are fully guaranteed. First Class International is available, but there is no tracking on First Class International packges. Also, please note that there can be lengthy delays at Customs. Per eBay rules, import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges -- these charges are the buyer's responsibility. Return Policy: Returns are accepted within 7 days, so long as item is returned in the condition that it was in when it was sold. If the item was misrepresented I will refund the postage both ways. If the item was not misrepresented, I will refund the purchase price only -- not the shipping paid to get it to you, or for you to return it. The following examples of misrepresentation are the only ones that qualify: statements about a specific, factual element of the toy: I said the item was vintage and/or original and it turns out to be a new repro, replica, reissue, copy, or fake. I said the item had no repairs and it turns out that it did indeed have repairs, repainting, or replaced parts. I said the item was definitely made by a specific company (like Elastolin, or Lineol, or Marklin, etc.), and it turns out that it was made by a different company. The following examples are the kinds of things that do not qualify as misrepresentation: If you disagree with a qualitative statement like "nice", "great shape", "hardly any wear", "beautiful", "this toy is so cool it will make you sit up and beg for bacon", you know what I mean. For these kind of qualitative descriptions of the condition of the toy you must rely on the pictures that I've taken. I take lots of pictures, and I try and take pictures of any potential problem areas on a toy. I use a loupe to examine the toys while I'm listing them, and I try and mention the significant condition issues that I can see.
