Old Electric Metal Train Cars & Engines, American Flyer This Set is in Collectible Condition!o---------------------------------------------------------------o Metal Train Cars & Engines I "think" these are S-Scale Made by : American Flyer & Others? Item Info: This Group of old electric train engines and cars has been tucked away for 30+ years. The original owner (and builder of the box cars), was the father of a friend of mine. Unfortunately, none of the information about the set, came with it. The only thing I know for sure is that his father did hand build the box cars; however, I don't know if they were a kit or scratch built.The only markings I can find are on the crane-looking car/engine, which says American Flyer. The engines and crane car are made of metal, while the box cars are made of wood (with metal wheels/axles).These guys will make a great restoration project for someone, or possibly even as "parts" cars for an even grander project. I don't know too much about trains, but I am fairly sure that these cars/engines are not in working order, and will need a lot of love to bring them back to their former glory.
