This Gorgeous French Louis XVI style parlor clock made by the American Ansonia clock company was found at a recent estate sale along with several other antique clocks. (please view the pictures below) The clock beautifully designed case was created from a fire porcelain and measures an impressive 10 1/2" tall with a base width of 9". The lovely case is totally covered on the sides and front with fabulous scrolling floral patterns high lighted in a 14k gold. The Lower front and sides have Hand painted Spring flower arangements with wonderful soft color Hues of Pinks, Blues, White, Yellow,, etc , etc. The porcelain case is supported with four extended legs that flare outwards around the bottom edges. The Face of the clock is protected behind a clear and circular shaped glass panel that is trimmed with a polished Brass metal frame. The face maintains it's original paper dial designed with lovely Black script Arabic numerals . The face is marked with the noted Ansonia trademark ( A diamond with square and the letter 'A' inside). At the bottom is written the following "MANUFACTURED BY THE ANSONIA CLOCK CO NEW YORK UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". The hands are also decorative and Black in color.
