Elegant in basic black, a lovely combination of Bas Relief molded opaque Jet-like glass Cameo sculpture is wonderfully accented on a brilliant semi-translucent black glass oval medallion and bezel set in an oval ornately detailed gold toned frame comprises this large classic style Brooch.
We are thrilled to have been requested to list this Estate consignment of an extensive collection of vintage Rhinestone, semi-precious, art glass and plastic costume jewelry by the daughter of whom, we have come to term, "The Glitz Queen". Be sure to visit often this month as we try to complete the task of showcasing some 100 pieces from this fabulous collection. Measures a substantial 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch oval, with a rise of 1 1/8" to the cameo sculpture. The frame is wonderfully detailed starting with a solid bright finish outer rim, a second layer of brushed and topped with a "lace collar" detail. A bright finish bezel collar surrounds the Bas relief intaglio glass cameo. Although unmarked, the piece represents quality craftsmanship. Single pin clasp mechanism. Rated to be in excellent condition with very minor plate wear at bottom edge of the frame where it sits, near the top point of the oval shape. Refer to photo showing back of Brooch.
