Antique miniature sterling silver plate. This plate was made by a Native American silversmith, and it is stamped "Hand Made by Indians Solid Silver" on the back (see photo), which denotes the Garden of the Gods shop in Colorado. The hallmarks began in the 1930's in order to combat the influx of silverwork being imported from Japan and sold as Native American made. Because of its elegant and intricate stampwork, this plate may have been created by Awa Tsireh (Alfonso Roybal, 1898-1955), from San Ildefonso Pueblo. At any rate, it is a beautiful piece of silver artwork and it measures 3" in diameter by 1/4" deep. T is No Reserve on this auction. Please Note: Contact for payment must be made within 48 hours after the close of the auction, by the winning bidder. Shipment will be by USPS Priority Mail, insurance optional. If insurance is not chosen, seller is not responsible for lost or damage to items in transit. All items identified, photographed and described to the best of my ability. International bidders: Payment in U.S.dollars via PayPal only. Also, will only shipped to Paypal verified address, in order to protect the shipment.
