ELEGANT PORCELAIN TEA SERVICE Tea service set for six, includes teapot, sugar bowl and creamer. Cups and saucers have a matching design. Stunning antique porcelain tea service, the pieces are marked on the bottom Epiag Aich from Porcelain Factory Aich, Menzl & Co - Doubí, Czech Republic (Aich, Bohemia, Austria) In 1849 Johann Mohling founded the factory producing household and decorative porcelain, and figurines. Additionally, he produced porcelain coins and later produced household and luxury porcelain that was exported to the United States.1862 Baron Franz Freiherr von Ziegler bought the factory, selling it in 1863 to CV Anger. A Carl Anger joined the firm in 1864. They added coffee and tea sets, and portrait porcelain to the line. 1902 Ludwig Engel & Son bought the factory and operated it until 1918 when it became a branch of Josef Thomas Menzl & Co. It was called Porcelain Factory Aich, Menzl & Co . 1922 it became a part of EPIAG. It converted to mass production. 1933 the factory closed. The pattern has a beautiful mother of pearl with light green shading and gold trim accents, and the porcelain is so fine, it seems to be egg shell quality. Included in the service is six cups and saucers, a cream pitcher and a sugar bowl and of course a tea pot. The tea cups measure 2-3/8" high and 3-1/2" across the top, the saucers are 6-1 read more
