ELEPHANT (CELLULOID?) BROOCH! SIGNED "FRANCE DEPOSE" Please scroll down for additional photos. Featured in this listing is a precious brooch signed "France, Depose". The brooch has the look of carved ivory, but I'm certain it is one of the plastics. Since I'm not good at identifying plastics, I will trust to those of you out t who are familiar with the French Depose brooches to know the material used in the production of these sweet scenic brooches. T is a mother elephant, with her baby, surrounded by what appears to be cutout floral and tree motifs. The brooch is one and five-eighths inches wide and one and three-eighths inches wide. The elephant scene is encased in a gold-plated frame. Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! Buy vintage jewelry for present value (to wear and admire). Buy vintage jewelry for investment (future wealth). My Policies: I am in the process of downsizing an antique jewelry collection and hope to be listing many EXCITING and UNIQUE jewelry items over the next few days. I find very little time to list my items, and it is my policy, tfore, to list as many as possible when I find a window of time. I very seldom place a reserve on my costume jewelry items --- even the more rare items. I usually start all of my jewelry items, even the fine jewelry, off at a minimal low bid. I always try to ship items as soon after payment has cleared as possible. Most of the jewelry will be shipped in gift boxes unless the item is too large to fit inside the several sizes of jewelry boxes I have in inventory. International Buyers: Please do not check out until you have received an invoice or email from me with adjusted shipping costs. I do not require that you insure the item; however, I cannot be held responsible should it get lost or damaged enroute. Illinois residents please add 7% sales tax.
