*ELGIN 23j VERITAS- BULL DOG STYLE R.R. CASE. This scarce Elgin Railroad high Grade was produced in 1922 and represents the finest effort in Elgin production. This watch also features a very desirable "Bull Dog" style R.R. case. This case presents a snap off dust cover, which in this case is not personalized. Near mint overall, this watch is a collectible example of it's grade. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME. DIAL: Sixteen size, open face and a double sunken white porcelain with extra bold fancy Arabic figures. This dial has the original black spade bold R.R. hands and is clearly marked: "ELGIN". MOVEMENT: Sixteen size, open face, three quarter plate nickel damascening specific to this high grade model, lever set, three quarter plate nickel, with a 14k center wheel, & all 14k screw down jewel settings, signed: "Adjusted 5 Positions", & "Veritas", #25,271,772. This movement is very near mint, clean, running and accurate. CASE: Mint most desirable screw back and bezel, yellow gold filled, R.R. Model case refered to as "Bull Dog".
