Here is a brand new, just born elk mount! The antlers have a nice shape and each side scores just about the same and talk about symetrical! The antlers are hunter taken and are on a full skull plate. They are not sheds and are not pinned. The elk was killed in the Wyoming wilderness known as The Thoroughfare. The cape has great color, good ears and a cool looking mane. Antler measurements: main beams measure 41 inches; longest point is over 15 inches; bases measure 8.5 inches; and it carries a 35 inch outside spread. As a professional elk guide, I would have considered this a 300 inch bull on the hoof and the mount looks bigger than the approx. score of 260+. It is a great representation of the species. The neck measures 32 inches at the base of the ears and 40 inches a few inches down. It sticks out from the wall approx. 38 inches and from the brisket to the top of the antlers is approx. 5 feet. The mount will come with a heavy duty hanger attached. As always there is no boxing fee and winning bidder pays the actual shipping charges via truck. Serious bidders please email your zipcode and I will give you an approximate shipping amount. If you live in the Midwest, I would drive to meet you half way for no charge. All questions are welcome, just ask. We will only ship to the lower 48 states. As always, we offer a 3 day inspection period. If there is a problem, a refund will be given for the amount of the bid only - no transportation costs will be refunded. We are not a home based business, but a brick and mortar, full-service taxidermy studio with 40 years in the same location.
