Offered for auction is a very unusual, what I think is a paperweight made by the firm Elkington & Co.It is a very heavy (400g) cast brass, then silver plated model of a WWI tank. It measures 5" in length, 3" wide and 1 1/2" tall.The tracks look as though they are soldered on after the manufacture of the body as would then guns have been, however both guns from this piece are missing.A lot of the silver plate has gone as this is a well loved piece and there are areas where the brass is showing through.The Elkington & Co struck mark is very clear in capital letters underneath the tank.I will package this item well for postage, or you can collect it from TQ6 9AN
