The short end of the stick; or meat as it were · Item: A truly beautiful folk pottery God's Sun Fish with blue bird on top, nickle in the mouth · Glaze: Ellen likes to use very vibrant glazes as can be seen in this piece, as well as many of her others, this really makes her stand out as a folk artist, and one of the last true self taught Black Folk Potters · Height: piece stands at approx 5 inches long and approx 4 inches tall · Condition: Flawless, signed on the bottom with Ellen's Crosses and signature · Shipping: Flat rate $10 via DHL includes full insurance coverage and professional packing Some other info on Ellen is as follows for those who are interested is that she currently resides in the farmlands of North Carolina, and is a self taught potter. Ellen lives with her elderly mother, and her husband... all comfortable in a nice scerene countryside. Ellen's mother still hand makes quilts (which I sleep under myself) the old hand stitched way. They share their residence with a miriad of animals, and are all animal lovers. Ellen and her family are very Old South in their deameanor, and stick with some of the old southern folk lore that is now stuff of legend, and history books.
