Limited Edition Giclee on Canvas - Title: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - EDITION #77 (only 195 made in this edition and a very low number) - 18x36 unframed (comes beautifully framed as shown) - Giclee is in MINT condition, absolutely perfect - Includes Certificate Of Authenticity - Year of Publication: 2003 This piece is a collaborative work between both Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw (father and son!). "This epic film was my introduction to Hollywood, at least to the Disney style of movie-making. I based this painting on one of the sketches I showed Walt, prompting him to assign me the picture. It was an exciting time for me, having just arrived from England and being involved in one of Walt Disney's most successful live action films." — Peter Ellenshaw "The underwater scenes in "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" are among the finest ever made. I hope we have done justice to this silent but very beautiful world." — Harrison Ellenshaw In his classic novel written in 1870, Jules Verne described the mysterious underwater domain of Captain Nemo as a place where "the solar rays easily pierced (the) watery mask and dissipated its color." Here the beauty of an underwater world is reflected in the Ellenshaws' splendid work of subtle colors and hues of ultramarine blues and turquoise greens; with coral formations and schools of fish surrounding the divers from the Nautilus.
