Album Album Album Album Album Album This auction is for one (1) of two related silver plate vases/bowls by noted ceramic designer Elsa Rady for Swid Powell. Swid Powell, formed in the early 1980s, produced limited edition decorative objects by many of the most famous architects and designers of the day, including Robert Venturi, Ettore Sottsass, Michael Graves, Zaha Hadid, Richard Meier, Robert A.M. Stern, George Sowden, etc. etc. Rady is one of the few ceramic designers to have produced work for Swid Powell. This bowl exhibits her signature form - flaring jagged rims -- found in her famous ceramic vases. Her ceramic pieces of the same size often sell for thousands of dollars. Her work is major public and private collections worldwide. These pieces would be great in a post-modern design; Swid Powell; or American ceramic designer collection. PLEASE NOTE, THIS AUCTION IS FOR 1 VASE; SECOND VASE IS AUCTIONED SEPARATELY. PICTURE THAT SHOWS BOTH IS FOR COMPARISON PURPOSES ONLY.
