In Dreams Of Yesterday - Live in Milwaukee, WI, June 28, 1974The sound-quality of this unreleased recording is truly amazing - it's easily one of the best soundboard quality live-recording that ever released from Memory. Elvis and the band are unfront, clear and well-balanced; it's really a joy to listen to The King in topform in such terrific clarity. Every vocal nuance, every guitar-lick, every drumbeatâe¦ everything sounds crisp and fresh. It's hard to believe that this recording is almost 30 years old, because it sounds like it was recorded last week.Even more remarkable than the sound-quality is the brilliance of Elvis' performance. His shows in the spring of '74 were generally of a very high standard, but this concert is truly exceptional. The way that he almost attacks his opener C.C. Rider with lots of bite and enthusiasm shows that he is really ready to rock, and during the whole one-hour show his energy-level is simply amazing. His singing and his interplay with both the audience and his bandmembers shows that he is really enjoying himself.
