I have for sale a pad of Elvis Presley Stamps (29 Cent - 1992 - Mint Condition). These sheets of stamps are unopened and extremely rare due to the nature of their packaging. Ever since the Elvis Presley Stamp was issued by the U.S. Postal Service in the early 1990s, the sheets have become popular and inexpensive bits of memorabilia. However, the ultimate collectible is a pad. All stamps are shipped from the printers to the U.S. Postal Service in units called pads, which contain 4,000 stamps. *No pad has ever been offered for sale to the public.* Before the Elvis stamps went on sale, however, some pads were evidently slipped to collectors, complete with interoffice instructions and warnings from the U.S. Postal Service not to sell any stamps before the designated day. These intact pads are currently worth $2,000. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what you are bidding on. As you can see from the photographs, the first shows a picture of the unopened pad of stamps in its original packaging from the printers. In the second photograph, you can see an up close view of the top, left corner of the pad. This picture demonstrates the instructions given to the U.S. Postal Service. The instructions tell the postal officer to count the sheets of stamps before removing the sealed film wrapper. Under the instructions is a seal indicating that these stamps were sealed on October 9, 1992. In the third photograph, you can see an up close view of the bottom, right corner of the pad. This picture demonstrates that the contents are in fact Elvis Presley - 29 Cent - 1992- Mint Condition stamps. The final photograph is an example of one of these sheets (*Note: This sheet is not from the pad, as the pad is unopened. I have taken this picture from one of my previous auctions simply to show what each sheet looks like.*) This item is a once in a lifetime offer.
