This is a very unique and one-of-a-kind Elvis scrapbook! T are many scrapbooks of Elvis when he was in his prime but this is the "ONLY" scrapbook that I have ever seen about just Elvis's death and the many events that occurred after. This would be an exceptional addition to anyone's Elvis collection and something no one else would probably ever acquire. This Elvis Scrap Book has hard vinyl tan and cream color cover and is in exceptional condition. News articles have slight discolored spots w scotch tape was applied to back of articles to attach them to pages, but does not affect content of article. Scrap book has 28 pages. The first 10 pages have articles on front and back. The rest have articles just on the front of page. T are at least 30 more loose article and newspaper pages in the back of the scrap book. This is my personal scrap book. I started this Elvis scrap book of newspaper articles that cover ONLY Elvis's death and the events that followed. OTHER ITEMS INCLUDED WITH THE SCRAPBOOK ARE: a flower I took from Elvis's grave at Graceland in 1992 (I dried the flower), a copy of Elvis's Last Will and Testament, a 1992 brochure of Graceland, 2 pristine postcards of Graceland one with the date 1981 on the back and the other has 1987. The postcards are not written on, and also included is a pink and black shopping bag from Memphis 1992 that has pictures of Elvis on it. T is a letter dated September 1, 1977 from Lee Secrest, who I think was a photographer, which states that he was t and allowed to remain on the grounds of Graceland after the gates were closed to the public. He states that he got shots of Charlie Hodge arriving, Joe Esposito and Dick Grob as they were being interviewed by NBC. He mentions the Lauderdale Courts apartment w Elvis lived while he was going to high school. It tells about him going to Tupelo and taking shots t etc. The news articles start with Sunday morning Sept. 11, 1977 through Aug. 15, 1997 Some of the articles are as follows: 9/11/77 Presley Roots Includes Renowned ( Nashville , TN (UPI) 9/17/77 Memorial Planned for Elvis ( Memphis , TN. ) Refers to Colonel Tom Parker and a 50 ton bronze statue 9/22/77 Who Gets the Elvis Profits. Refers to movies for unrefunded tickets for Elvis's cancelled concert that was supposed to be at the Cumberland Co. Memorial Auditorium in Fayetteville , NC . My husband and I had tickets to that concert. $3,000 worth of tickets were still out at this date. Presley Memorial ( Memphis ,TN (AP) 10/4/77 Presley Gravesites Open ( Memphis , TN (AP) 10/19/77 Drugs Linked to Presley's Death ( Memphis TN (AP) 11/27/77 First Time for Public Fans Tour Presley's Graveside ( Memphis , TN (UPI) Article includes picture of grave site 12/26/77 Sad Year for Hollywood . Includes pictures of Elvis and Freddie Prinze. Hollywood (UPI) 8/21/1978 Thought of Elvis, Applause for Ronnie. Refers to Ronnie McDowell's first annual Elvis Memorial Show held at the Cumberland County Memorial Arena in Fayetteville , NC Many other articles, some about Priscilla, Dr. Nichopoulos, Elvis's Dad etc.. 8/15/82 Presley Fans Remain Faithful ( Memphis , TN (AP) This is a full page refers to fans "flocking" to his shrine to pay homage. 8/16/82 Candle Bearing Elvis Fans Hold 2nd Anniversary Vigil 8/18/85 Graceland Memories of Elvis 7/28/1988 Elvis Stamp 8/15/97 Three Touched by the King. Refers to Milton Smith who had just been hired by the Stamps to play for them and instead he played at Elvis's funeral. I can't possibly list all the articles.
