This auction is for one (1) early (1850s -1900s), label-under-glass apothecary bottle. I am parting with a few items from my own collections. This was a part of my poison bottle collection. A fantastic find and would make a great addition to the apothecary/medicinal or poison collections. This treasure has a label under glass, that is intact, except for a little paint loss in one corner. Label reads, in black on white with gold: Tr. HYOSCYAMI. Bottle has a beautiful flared lip. It's in near mint condition, no cracks, chips, or dings, but t is a small 'flash' in the glass in upper left-hand of label/bottle (probably occurred when installing label.) Back paper label is stained with age and usage, with a tiny piece missing from upper left edge. "Preparations of/HYOSCYAMUS./(Henbane.)" Tincture, U. S. P., 1900/...Infusion,...Syrup,..." At bottom is typed in script: Med. Prop. - Powerful Narcotic Poison/Antiseptic." Great bubbles in glass. Base embossed: W. T. & CO./B. This bottle measures aproximately 7 1/2" h. Great addition to the collection! Please see pictures for details. Photos are with flash and without, so t may appear to be some color discrepancies that don't really exist. If t are any questions about pictures or information, requests must be made prior to auction's end. You have a 7 day return if not as described. All items read more
