Emergency! by Chris Stratton Good to Good+. Small crease upper corner right front cover. Light 2-inch crease down center of front. Crease down middle of spine thru second "e" in emergency. Pretty much gloss. I would say this is the king of all tv-tie in paperback books! There is a similar copy for sale on Abe now for $125. I don't see where any of the other book places, including here, have any at all... This copy does not have the cigarette ad in. Combine with other lots and postage will be only 29 cents per paperback additional! TV tie-in paperbacks started in the 50's, and by the late 60's there were quite a few shows producing them, notably the Man from U.N.C.L.E., Star Trek, the Avengers, Dark Shadows, Mission Impossible, Batman, Laugh-in, the Monkees, and others. By the 70's and early 80's the number of titles peaked, probably because of the coming of the VCR. Today they are enjoying a resurgence with shows like Roswell, CSI, Monk, Supernatural, Smallville, 24 Declassified, and Alias. It is a fun hobby, still pretty much at ground level, with several hundred shows available, most of them having photo covers from the show.
