Circa 1927 Emerson 9" Junior Model fan with brass blades. This cast-iron single speed non-oscillating fan runs smoothly and quietly. It also puts out a great deal of air for such a small fan. This may be the perfect desk model to use in the summer. In my eighteen years of collecting fans, I have never encountered another Emerson Junior with Parker brass blades like the ones on this fan. This piece may very well have been one of the first Emerson Juniors produced. Its badge displays the following information: "The Emerson Electric Mfg. Co. New York St. Louis 4, Emerson Jr, 110V 60 CY, Made In United States Of America."
This fan could benefit from a new cord and paint job. Although the motor retains a fair amount of its original paint, the fan's cage and base have noticeable paint loss. One very small segment of the cage shows some slight abrasion, as if clamped with a metal tool. Due to the age of this item, I cannot make any guarantees as to its mechanical and electrical condition. I am selling it as is with no warranties expressed or implied. However, I can say that the fan ran very well when I tested it today.
I offer a seven day return policy if you feel that this item was misrepresented in any way. I want you as the buyer to feel satisfied with your purchase. This fan weighs ten pounds and will be disassembled and carefully packed. With packing materials its total weight will come out to around 11.5 pounds.
