This is an Emerson Patriot Model tactical liner lock knife. It is serial # 013 of the first batch produced. This one is chisel ground with a fine edge and black finish. it has the Emerson wave feature. The first run low serial numbers were only offered to Emerson Collector Club members. When you hear the word Patriot you can not help thinking of the founding of the United States and the 13 Original Colonies that became the 13 Original States. What better serial number can you have for a Patriot knife than 13? (The below is quoted from the Emerson site.) There are few words that conjure up as much emotion and feeling as the word patriot.
