You are bidding on an exquisite Set of Matched Cameo Vases, Created by the French master glass designer Emil Galle'. The vases are both signed in cameo," galle' ". The vases color hues are from amber to peach with leaves of mint to olive green that entwine down the neck of the 17 1/2 inch vases. The 6 1/8 inch base is swirled in cream, amber and green. The vases are truly lovely. They have your normal flaws of hand made glass, but t are no chips or cracks. The vases are being sold on consignment from the estate of a lady who served in the Presidential atomisations from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton. She traveled the world during this time and acquired the vases while abroad. The vase date to the early 20th century. The owners have ask that a reserve price be set. The vases were recently appraised by the Antique Road Show in the Baltimore Tour and the reserve is below that appraised value. The other items from this estate have been of the highest quality and we believe the same holds true for this item.
