I bought this for the beautiful form, skin and delicacy of this woman. It's everything you could want in a 1930s DECO painting. (I don't know the date certain, but given his career dates, I assume it was in the 30's.) The palate is exquisite as is the woman's poise and beauty. A 30's ideal of femininity. Thulin's auctions range form $300 to $1,100 range, and this is one of his best in my opinion. A top auction house I took it to agrees. (But they want 25%.) The painting measures 16 x 20" with a nice period wood frame, though I think a silver leaf frame would complement her better. From AskArt:Born July 22, 1891 in New York City, Emil Thulin was the son of Joanna and Neil Thulin.
